Good question Geoff. The cumulative model section of Spring 1964 price lists show the postcard model as Accutron "202", without any reference to Railroad Approved.
The "262" is not in this price list, and its the most recent price list we have on site.
None of the Accutron models listed in that Spring 1964 price list have Railroad Approved in the model name or as a "variant".
The "202" is described in postcard ad text as a "railroad model", and the later 1972 ad has "railroad approved" in its text description.
I'm trying to read the fine print in the very bottom of the ad shubaj uses in the root record. I don't see that ad on MyBulova, so I can't get a closer look.
