Its not possible to distinguish between two model names which change mid year based on how our database is currently designed. I'm guessing ALL model name changes don't happen on new years day....and if we have a spicific dated event (like Conqueror becoming Lone Eagle, etc...) we can set the clock historically, but nothing can be done to distinguish between the two names by year in the root record of the watch database.
The best thing we can do is be consistent, and the comments in the various threads will note when the change took place, so we still have that info associated w/ the watch records.
Based on the ads we have, there was a 1947 Princeton and a 1947 His Excellency "AA" which were the same watch. I'm guessing its the same for the Treasurer, and we just don't have an early 1947 ad while it was still named Treasurer.
Mabye Admin could ad another field in the root record called "congener" or "also advertised as". We leave this field blank for most records, but when we know there were two model names for same watch in the same year, we could ad the other name to that field.
It is actually Unknown to me if this watch is the 1947 Treasurer or His Excellency. One could argue its both.
