Gents: Many thanks for your consideration, advice, and, Geoff, kind comments. Although the watch has no material value I am going to improve its condition and see if I can keep it running, (currently it runs, but just briefly). I especially like the harmonious contrast between the 'modern' (70s) case shape and the traditional dial with its elegant numerals.
