I agree. I think your watch did come with the documentation. Kind of a subset of Duo Wind, at last at the watch function level anyway.  

I was hoping for a clean break in years of advertising btwn Duo Wind and Thayer, including wording appearing on the dials, but that didn't pan out based on ads and "selfwinding" printed dials.  Cross over btwn ads and years.

I now agree w/ the duo wind ID vs Thayer, and think the break is btwn 1951-52 with some possible overlap.
