The 1927/28 release of the corner cut version only came in the long brown flat boxes and not the green or red/yellow boxes. The first release had 'Lone Eagle' stamped with the second (later 1927/28) version having 'The Lone Eagle' stamp.
The boxes I show in the Lone Eagle story are correct for the period and version.
