Hi Amy, welcome to myBulova. I think the model name of your watch is 'La Petite' although the photo is just small enough that I can't quite make out all the details. Click this link and you'll see another watch that we identified as 'La Petite'. http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1958-la-petite-6485
I wonder what the back of the watch says, is there something that starts with an L or M? I'm not 100% sure your watch is from 1955, I think it might be a little newer.
