Hi heyuguys - welcome to myBulova. I think it's wonderful that you've inherited your grandfathers watch. I'm a big fan of family heirlooms. I am wondering how you dated it. I can't really see the date code or anything else other than the serial number on the case back. I'm having a bit of a challenge finding a match to any of the ads we have on-site and wonder about the year of manufacture and case markings.
I doubt that restoration would be $400, there are a couple 'expert' members that might be able to give you a better idea on that.
