Over time many watches, especially those that were not water/dust resistant, or had bad seals, became discoloured on the dial. I think it has the most beautiful patina, like some old glass from as far back as Roman times turns gold, so has your dial!

Most if not all of the 1940's Excellency line came in three different colour gold cases, yellow, white and red/rose/coral/pink (the last was different names for the same colour, says I!).

The yellow cased had white dials, the white cased had black/dark grey dials, and the "red" cased had pink dials.
