Hi Katie - it is not uncommon to have a movement and case date off by a year. Imagine the case being made on January 3 but the movement was assembled on December 30. Four days becomes a year older. In these cases we always date to the newest of the two as the watch could not have been made before the case was made. When the difference is two or more years we suspect the movement was swapped later in life and perhaps not original to the case.
