Yes, it appears to be the 1929 version of the Luminous Hands one depicted in the advertisement. The Shield shown on the right hand side of the movement, under the serial number, leads me to believe this statement. Everything on this watch is original except the new Crystal Jeff installed, I even have the original flexible metal band but prefer to ware a leather strap with it.
I am so proud to know such great men wore this watch before me, if I accomplish 10% of what they did in their lives I would be happy. My Grandmother's surprise 90th Birthday is St. Patrick's Day, fitting for an Irish woman who immigrated here in the 1930's. Yes, her marrying my Sicilian Grandfather was rather scandalous in the 1940's; not to mention my Sicilian Great Grandmother who was devastated by the news. I am hoping to garner even more of the back story when I see her next.
