and that is yet another hic-up with this watch. Everything I have seen so far that is marked in a 1927 case is post 5000 and a LE.
What we might have here is a mix of a 1926/27 Conqueror parts and later 1927 case.
The combination isn't making a great deal of sense, based on my research and experience.
1926/27 Conqueror
- Hands
- Movement
1927 Lone Eagle
- Case (back plate seperated fromthe LE Bezel)
- Dial
HOWEVER...what is really throwing me is the statement that the case is marked 14K solid and not Gold Filled.
I'm really looking forward to seeing some better photos of the entire watch. I also note that the front bezel has seperated from the back plate. A common issue with the LEs of this era.
