Nothing really, just a variant. Bulova regularly made slight changes to certain models and gave them 'variant' designations. Theoretically the "G" is the seventh variation of the "Regatta" model. That doesn't mean we found all of the other six yet nor does it mean there aren't more. We also tend to bicker amongst ourselves as to whether or not the variants were simple changes like a leather strap instead of a metal band. In some cases the differences are dial color or style or case material (gold or stainless steel).
