Yep. Not even close to a 26. Hands are all wrong and case is not the typical hinged type for that period. Try prying the back open with a butter knife and you should have success. Do it carefully and take pics of the inside of the back and the back of the movement. and we might get some idea of the year and a place to start. There is a small tab on the back of the watch at the bottom of the case back, that is where you will do the prying. Try to take good clear pics of the areas I mentioned and we should have a chance to find the answers you seek.
