Looks like confirmed Banker to me.
I went through a checklist. Ben Hur - diff jewel count, slightly more rounded bezel. Chief- nope, engraved and occurs a couple years later I think. Ranger - diff jewel count, engraved, but Plains example here shows similarity in crystal shape. http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1940-ranger-718 Ranger a little less rounded bezel shape than subject. While these are "different" watches, they are similar in case shape/design. By checking these watches, it' gets me familiar w/ these traits and lets me rule out other possibilities.
