Looks like a Director with out the Diamond dial. You will need to peek at the movement for the correct jewel count, movement date code, and movement model. The serial number on the case hints that this is a 1948 model, and if it is solid 14K, chances that the movement is 21 jewels are pretty good.
Director with a dial variant would be my call...
