John,
Your watch could be a President model , or possibably an Ambassador since the new 1952 ad showing them with 21 jewels has been uncovered. I have one very similar to yours that I ID'd as a President... http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1955-president-1695 using crystal spec's & footprints from known examples.
The Senators have all had 15-17 jewels as far as I can remember.
