Scott,
I understand there is no mention of the two tone but if You look closely around the perimeter of the Dial (predominatly shaded Red) and compare that area to the sub-Dial (shaded White)

the Dial described/shown in the ad is the Dial of the Watch.
below is a 1941 'DIRECTOR' currently in the database.
Same Case, same Dial, same 17 Jewel 8AE.
Same Watch but with a 3 star rating, go figure.....I'll pull this one from the database.
