Interesting that both examples of the Knight in the database have a subseconds dial, but there is not one shown in the ad.
I just picked up a 1939 Knight, and it also has the subseconds, so that's three examples that don't match the ad.
This is not unheard of in the late 1930s. There are ads showing the President with and without a subseconds, and I have a '38 Breton with a subseconds dial (not shown in the ad).
