I think you are on the money for 1975. I'm finding a 17J version of this watch minus the "Ambassador' dial print in the 1975 linebooks.. It's identical.
We've also seen the model name 'Ambassador' used a fair bit on the international models, so I would very much agree that this watch would fall into that category.
It could be a chicken V egg thing. Do we ID as a generic Bulova Ambassador or a Bulova International with the variant Ambassador?
I lean to the first option, a 1975 Bulova Ambassador.
