Dear Petethehat, your watch is an unknown. First time I see this model. The text inside that is scratched out is “14K” part of the material indication “14K gold filled”. I have seen identical scratch outs before so I suspect it was done by Bulova. The reason most likely is that both the terms 14K and gold filled needed to comply with regulations. Hence, I suspect that the gold used did not comply with 14K, hence it was scratched out.
