I've found one very likely match...the Yankee Clipper, which in the mid 50s came in a chrome-type case. I can't tell from the linebook if the dial has those different patterns, but the angular lugs look like a match. Typically, Clipper models would have luminous dial/hands, but the description does not call for that, so that is also a match.
