Well there is that Oscar Statue in the ad appearing as if Bulova won the Oscar again, yes the one that got them into big trouble. This was the beginning of the end of The Bulova Academy Award watch model. I call the watches The Lawsuit Model... I always add an extra few hundred dollars just because of the story. I have asked The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to build a little kiosk in the new Academy Museum in tribute to the watches and all they do is laugh at the thought. The key is to find an Actor that actually was given one of these Oscar Night. Your watch is 1952 so find out whom won for best Actor that night... it ads greatness to the story and mystery of these cool watches. 

Rare Oval bezel, no golden curtain dial.. looks correct, get rid of that cheap expansion band and find a 50's tan leather or reptile Bulova signed band and you are there. The academy award Watch cases are selling on e-bay for more than the watches!
