1956 Bulova "23". Aftermarket seconds hand. I had a question regarding the word "bezel" on these ... is it talking about the entire case or just the wavy part around the crystal ( which is what I consider the bezel )? I'm asking because the yellow versions I've seen , say the bezel is rolled gold, yet the entire case is yellow. Thanks! ---

Thank you, I appreciate it. It seems on some models the bezel is just the ring around the crystal. I was looking at a watch a couple days ago that said 14k gold bezel, and only the ring around the crystal was yellow ... but I guess the rest of the case besides the back cover could have been solid white gold too. Interesting ---

Generally,, if the case is marked "14K gold bezel" with or without "stainless back"; Watch body will either be stainless or plated, only the ring is solid. If there is no specific call out of bezel and it's just marked (for example) 14K, the entire case is solid gold. The word bezel is used interchangeably for a separate "ring" or the entire watch case depending on the construction of the watch case. Bezel Ring is the applied ring on a bezel.
