Watch Description

This is a rectangular shaped Bulova watch. The case is 10K gold filled. The back serial number is 7266201. The face is two toned red and white with gold numbers and hands. I have not opened the case (I'm afraid I'll damage it). The watch works - winds up and appears to keep time well. It has a leather band that I think is newer than the watch, a replacement probably. I don't know the year the watch was made or anything else. I made a guess at the year above so I could submit the form. I'd like to find out the year and model name. Thanks!

Yes I ordered a tool from Amazon (see Kathy's reply). When it arrives I will try it gently. I am a jewelry artist so I have a little knowledge of being careful with metals, but if it does not come off easily I'll take it to a jeweler in town instead.

Panel, thoughts on if this could be anything other than a Douglas? We know the dial has been redone and customized with a none standard design, but is the case style only from a Douglas or was there another model that used the same style in 1947?

I guess you're right, I was thinking more of the year dating but we would date the case by s/n anyway right?. I'll post it tonight
