Is it my imagination or do I see a small date code above the JU in the word Adjusted on the movement. Possibly an L6?

I am seeing that as well; it looks to me under magnification of image to be a weak "46" (1946) which makes perfect sense in a 1947 dated case.
This ad is a couple years off (1951), but appears to be a good match to case, dial, hands and loop.
1947 Montgomery for me.

I looked at 3 Bulova pocket watch movements I have on hand and that's where the date code is stamped on all of them JimDon.

Looks to be a 1947 Bulova Montgomery based on the case serial number.
