Watch shows high point wear on the original band and some dial spotting but keeps excellent time. Case dated 1940, Movement is dated 1947, so it's a replacement. Band was small, so I grafted 4 links from a marginally similar band on the underside so I could wear it
1940 Officer
1940 Bulova Officer is match. I believe this to be an original bracelet as we have a few with this bracelet in the archive.

I agree -1940 Bulova Officer is a good match, not too certain about the originality of that bracelet.....
Naw...that's not the right bracelet.. Spot on with the Officer though.

I actually think it is the correct band. There are currently 6 Officers in this case style in the database not counting this one. Of those, 2 are dated 1939 with a band that matches the 1939 - early 1940 ads. The other 4 are all dated 1941. Of those, one is on a replacement leather band and the other 3 are on this knotted link bracelet band like subject watch. I suspect the band style changed mid year in 1940 and the ads were never updated.
Noting the replacement movement I think we can safely ID as a 1940 Bulova Officer.
Love it!
