Hello everyone! Adding a new Bulova to the database. This looks like an ad match for a 1949 Beverly. Movement is a 1949 (J9). This watch has some weird white residue/gunk on it (you can see on pictures by crown and area around where band is connected to lugs). I have not seen anything like this before on any of my other watches, is this a normal thing that can sometimes happen, has anyone ever seen this before? I am just wondering if it would be mold? I'm sure it will probably clean off pretty easily, I just thought I would go ahead and ask while posting. Looking to see what you all think! Thanks!
I think this is the first time I have seen one of these, really nice model! Looks like you nailed the ad as well. Kind of looks like they took the Christine case and added to it. I will get my ad out and get a good shot of it.

Thank you Kathy! I'd love to see a better picture of the ad if possible! I agree, does look similar to the Christine. I love this and am glad I can add a new style to the database!

I thought I had that ad but I don't, just the other half of it. Sorry about that.

No problem at all! Thanks for checking!
Same here. I didn't recognize the case when I first saw it, but it would appear to be a perfect match for the 1949 Bulova Beverly.
It's always a frill to add a new model example to the database.

Yes, I felt it almost looks a little Egyptian revival or something! Thank you!
