Additional Information

It doesn't happen very often anymore, but when it does, it's pretty sweet.  I have NO idea what this watch is, as it's the first time I've ever seen it.

A two toned bezel.  It almost looks rose gold, but it's doesn't see quite there?

Thr bezel has the yellow/light rose as a base and a line of white gold (assumed) at the top and bottom.  We do have a couple models in the ads that show two toned models in this time-frame, but I've not seen this one.

Crystal was cracked and I went to my limited stock and found a pretty perfect match, so maybe that will help ID it.

Case is approximately 21.22mm x 28.02mm

34.83mm tip of lugs

What a great find! I don't recognize the watch, but have this to offer about the inscription. Leo was a member of a coastal artillery battery (anti-aircraft) that defended the US coast . The unit also fought in Africa and Sardinia. I believe he died in Dundee, Michigan in 2003.

Great watch and great inscription. Still looking for an ID. I personally would leave the dial as-is...wish this watch could talk!

Good info!

As we're essentially looking at the Broadcaster or Squadron type dial here... probably needs blued or gold index hands eh?

Man, I wouldn't even venture a guess on the hands. If it was mine, I think I would leave the hands that are there on it until it's determined what it is. It would be a shame to inadvertently "customize"  it.

There is a all yellow gold color model on on watchophilia.  It shows blued stick hands.   Yours has what looks like white gold bars on the bezel.  Looks like we have another unknown model on our hands.  Unknowns keep showing up even though we have found 100s of ads.  1941 Bulova Unknown
