New to the site: I identified my father's 1964 Bulova Sea King watch from your photos and using the imprint on the back. Any suggestions for a San Francisco-based restorer/repairer who can work on this watch? It would need cleaning, a replacement crystal, and restoration as it currently is not working (although I haven't tried winding it as I don't want to damage anything). Well guess what turned up. Confirmation and picture for this new model. It appears to have a vertical striped dial. Also confirmed this model was around until 1964 as it is in the 1964 price list.

According to the 1964 Price list it came in two models "EE" assume white dial and "FF" black dial.

1960 Bulova Pierson (New Model Name) There are several references to a Pearson in the 1964 Bulova price sheets but this one is spelled Pierson. Found three additional ads in Florida for this watch describing it as Pierson. Same ad different newspapers. Wonder if this is in fact the Pearson and the ad was created with a mispelled Pierson.

A misprint I think. In Bulova pricelists we do not find Pierson but only Pearson. It is not unusual to find dealer prepared adverts with mixed up images and / or names. The style on this one seems more mid fifties.

Went to the 1961 line book and confirmed the model. Came in stainless and yellow gold plate.
Interesting ad. I do not recall a Bulova in 2001 A Space Odyssey. Only the Hamilton. Probably just the actor wore it on the TV show during and interview and it was noticed but thought I would but it out there.
