Adding to my nurse watch collection is this beauty. The case is around the same size as the Medical Center but with the unique lugs. I think the crystal is the same size as well.
It has a 10K gold filled case that is date stamped L4. The movement is a 17 jewel working 6BDC date stamped L3. This is a new movement for the DB. The dial has a red sweep second hand. It has a 10mm lug width.
I couldn't find an ad for this model. I saw one months ago and now I can't find it now. Looking at the price list for 1954 it might be a Red Cross but no way to know for sure at this point.
That's a super cool case design. If I know you, you'll not stop until you find an advert :-)
I'm hoping for 'Red Cross' as it's a fitting name for this beauty!
Very cool. I'm with you, I've seen this case before and am sure I've seen an ad......but can't find it.
Love this watch Kathy! Now let's find her a name.....
1954 (so far) Unknown
Panel - anyone find anything?
I highly suspect this is a Red Cross model.
Possibly like this one:

Just MHO, I can find no advert support.
Unknown for now.

I think so too. I have a red cross crystal and it the correct size. But I still haven't been able to find the ad I saw for it awhile back.
In reply to I think so too. I have a red by Kathy L.
Watch was renamed Red Cross "C" in late 1958 or early 1959, per linebook139. At that point it was also offered in white as the "D".
From 1957 Houston Jewelry company catalog. Finally putting a name to this beauty. I owed you one for the Olympia ID. 1954 Bulova Air Nurse.
