Excellent research Reverend! I'm not surprised to hear that at least some of the specialty watches do come directly from Bulova. Knowing that the relationship Bulova has right now with Harley Davidson further demonstrates the point.

I'm taking the possible naming of these watches offline to the panel. Updates to follow.......

Thank you for your effort in the follow of this "investigation".

In fact, I emailed the Bulova customer service and they confirmed that the watch was made by Bulova, although they have no longer access to old catalogs as the 10AK was produced from 1942 to 1954.

Andrew/Masonic sounds great to me.

Many watch manufactures have in the past and the present produced watches with masonic emblems on the dials, especially to market in the USA. They were sometimes commissioned for special masonic events, and were normally sold  through masonic ragailia retailers or jewelers with masonic collections. In the UK it was and still is mainly through the former.

I'm thinking this one through a bit.  Made by Bulova and sold by Bulova.  No ad.  Almost certainly not an Andrew, but that's just a guess. as we dont' have an ad.  I suppose they could have marketed it as an Andrew w/ Masonic markings, but I doubt it.



If we do this route, what happens if/when we find a "Masonic Markings" dial in a case which can be two different models based on strap/band, or jewel count, etc...

Another option may be "catch all" class of  Bulova Masonic unknown model?

That's thinking ahead Mr. Smith, but in this particular case it can't be anything but an Andrew with a Masonic dial, we know that much. Bulova may have called it the "Masonic" model or something. I wouldn't think they would use but one model each year to put a Masonic dial on. It wouldn't be cost effective for them to make these specialty dials for several models each year. Just my 2 cents.

They would have only been advertised in Masonic regalia catalogues, and the numbers produced were actually quite large. I'll see if I can find a modern catalogue example.
