1924 Regent, also known as the 5716S
these watches are fought against with Alex, this time in my favor :)
You know jabs it has come to my attention that your my bulova's true "Ladies Man".

Well you're right that lately I search mainly ladies watch from a period of 20 years
A very beautiful Regent. The case is from 1924, the movement is however from before April 1923 given its signature.bit is a very special and unique movement. Jabs, what is the size? Given the model number 5716, the movement should have the same size as the 5P as derived from the first number. Let us know. The case of this watch has a slight deviation versus the ad: the wings that cover the lugs have 4 holes whole the ad only show two. I saw once an early and original 5716S that indeed had only 2 holes. Maybe this later model (Regent) indeed had 4 holes? The ad we have of the regent is however of bad quality so we cannot confirm this.

sizes are not exactly the same as a KIV has 21,92*13,50 mm, 5P has 22,10*13,26 mm

Edmundo has recently mentioned this to me and we think the K IV is actually a Glycine 10 ebauche, not like the AV9 ones that make up the 5P and others. He has an advert to support this from Glycine.
I think the movement might be a replacement (only a guess) as the case serial number for me dates to 1925 and we see this 5716-S in a few 1924 adverts.
Funny enough the movement looks to have a circle (1925) stamp that doesn't match the rest of the movement. So I wonder if Bulova re-issued this high grade movement in this in 1925 case.
So for me it's a tentative 1925 Bulova 5716-S.
BUT what a beauty it is, and that movement has the earliest serial number I've ever recorded.

it is true that the movement has no symbol, production year 1924 I inferred the according to case signs ("BULOVA QUALITY" and serial number begins with "15")
Indeed. A beautiful watch and a super interesting movement!
Wow, what a gem! This must be one of the nicest watches you have Jaroslav. It really is special.
I too am inclined to ID as 5716-S. Interesting that the advert states 18k but the case is marked 19k.
