In reply to 10BM 15 J w/ no date code. by William Smith
a movement of this era sans a datecode would suggest 1949.
This 15J 10BM looks to be Military.

I see a serial number "32981" on it. Is that not unusual for a 1949 movement?
1949 - 17 Jewels
Where does L2 fit in, time frame..? Saw a nice 'Caldwell' . 21 Jewels 10BM on the'Bay' and wondering about the L2. l'm looking for a 'Birthyear' piece...!

L2 = 1952
I have a 10BM Movement and its date is identified with a "square" where usually I see a L-0 or L-1 etc. There are no other marking such as A-9 etc. A square normally dates a Bulova movement much older.
Does anyone know or can identify a SQUARE on a 10BM Movement?
Thanks
John V.

Very interesting.
The Square would date the 10BM to 1946, I believe Military. I'm going to guess it's 15 Jewels?
Military cased 15J 10BM, no datecode.
Serial # 26548
