Good point Geoff.  We don't have a spaceview conversion ID in the drop-down choices, do we?  And although Bulova made some conversion kits, I think it was jewelers and dealerships who did the conversions w/ Bulova produced and authorized kits?  Is that right?

A high percentage of Spaceviews out there are conversions, and I don't mean conversions the Jewellers did, authorized by Bulova and with Bulova parts. This might help:

There are a lot of converted spaceviews out there, here is a link to check your case number:

Some watches are known to have been converted at the dealerships, others have been done much after the fact.

...and the Accutron case/crystal PDF Ken cites is in agreement with your point on 318 bowtie cases only being dialed for Accutrons.

...I'd hate to call the subject Spaceview "non conforming", but that may be another option we have for converted spaceviews which didn't ship from Bulova in their present cases.   Is a converted Spaceview ever gonna have an official POS Bulova model name?

i don't want to keep harping on the same thing but like i said before this watch isn't converted to a spaceview because with this case there is no room for a dial to be used with it, all other spaceview watches i have seen (not including the swiss chapter ring models) required a dial ring spacer when the dial is gone to make the movement gasket lips sit flush with each other, there is no way to use a dial with this case even if you wanted to, there's just no room for it.....

Has anyone found the elusive ad for this "Bowtie Spaceview" yet?  If it ain't got room for a conversion, then it musta come this way.
