2 tone, stainless case, 10k gold filled bezel ring, 2182 cushion case with original (Jacoby Bender) J.B. Champion stainless and 14kt gold filled trim bracelet. Dial is a purple'ish color with spots on it, which I at first thought was moisture damage but learned that others had it as well and it appears to be designed that way intentionally.
Hi Archie - welcome to myBulova.com, glad you stopped by. Looks like you're going to give us a run on ID'ing a hand full of Bulovas!
This one appears to be the Accutron Day Date "AH". I love it when they still have the original bracelet. The funky 70's styles are among my favorites.

That was a lot of money in 1972, I was making $2 an hour.
I was -2 years old :)
Thanks for the welcome Geoff, I'm a devoted Bulova fan now and not just because of vintage Accutrons. Their mechanicals and automatics interest me as well.
Thanks for finding the material above. It's nice to know the model designation. Is that from an advertisement, or a catalog of sorts? Interesting, that I just ran that figure ($195.00), through two different money inflation calculators online, and came up with two completely different answers - $471.00 and $1,089.00. Well, in either case, this particular Accutron was certainly no inexpensive watch in the day it was manufactured.
Geoff, if you love funky 70's styles, you'll like my TV case I'll put up soon. It's one of my favorites.
I don't think she's the AH, the lugs are different.
What do you see different Shawn?
I think it is a spot on match myself right down to the dandruff dial, thanks to Mr. Eagleeye Baker...

My bad, I didn't have my glasses on and couldn't see the spiderlines defining the lugs. I see them now and have to agrree with the ad as being spot on.
I agree, it looks spot on, including the lug style, bezel ring, hour markers, hands. Now, what is this reference to a "dandruff" dial? Is that how you refer to that dial design? Nicely named... :-)

Heh,
That is what it looks like to me...maybe Dusty Dial is a better term? : )

I'm thinking more along the lines of stars in the night sky.
Stars in the night sky....
I like that. Perhaps that's what they were thinking when they designed that dial?
