Series I - 17j movement  -  circle symbol = 1925

Dial, hands & crown are not in accordance with ad. However, possible variant nicely painted, we only see the lume dial in the ads.

Case is Mint.

Wayne, looks llike to need an original 1928 Corner Cut Lone Eagle Dial.

Like this one sitting on my desk waiting for a good home.

Hi Gents,

Wayne, it is quite possible that your dial was refinished that way and the hands changed to match by request of an owner. This type of service was quite common back then.

Stephen, I sorry to say that your dial has been refinished at some point in time. The hand scribed numbers represent the ID of the refinisher. Similar to a watchmaker's scribe for service in a watch case.

Interesting as it looks like all other LE dials that I have seen. I normally clean these up with a soap and water wash and polish. Do you think it was just a number repaint?

Hi Wayne  Did you get dial from admin or keep the interesting design dial as found?  This nice LE only has one star.   Is that from 1925 mvnt in 1928 case / dial configuration?

From memory, the movement was indeed from 1928. Tha dial I had offered Wayne however was not a match as it came off a 10AN movement, Wayne's movement is a 9AT.

that explains one star.  Guess if record is updated the the ID will represent the record. I saw circle in original entry of record and didn't see this 1928 mvnt info.
