1927 Bulova Unknown 15J 4 Adj. 10AN movement with serial #235237, I cannot find any date stamp at all on the movement, so I am using the case serial to date it. The case and back are 14K White Gold filled with Bulova/American Standard Jan. 11 1927 patent stamped inside the snap-off cover.
The off-White dial with Black outlined numbers and Blued Cathedral hands is in very good condition, but no lume is left on either...I have a lume kit ordered and plan to do it myself unless you all think I should leave it as is...
The case measures 26.6mm wide and 36.6mm lug to lug with 15.6mm between lugs, the band is a NOS Wristacrat Dartmouth in lusterwhite that shoiuld be period correct, and the glass crystal is new...Plus it still runs!!
I think there is at least 3 more like this in the database...
The case SN is missing the first number, if you look closely the curve of the six numbers seems to be tipped down to the left. The missing date number if stamped in the proper spot would even the curve up.
I gotta rethink manufacture date for this one w/ no date code on mvnt and case serial only having six digits. It sure looks like the first cas SN digit is missing. As bobbee points out, look at how "high" the last digit comes up compared to that leading "7".

Entry reviewed and I think we can confrm that the first number is missing from the watch case serial number.
