T2 date code

Submitted by Gerard on

Hello I’m looking at purchasing a what I think is a late 1940 ish watch. But the back has no serial numbers and the date code is T2.  I’m lost on this one. Any help would be appreciated. I do have the add photos but not sure about adding them.

 T2 is 1992 but this is a 1992 watch?

Hi Gerard. Yes, it's a 1992. I have one like that. It has a quartz movement and I think it's made as a ladies model.

I'd be interesed in seeing the movement if possible. This could be a re-issue of a 1940s model. Not sure if the box is original to the watch though. It was original sold as a mens watch.

I gave mine to my step-daughter and I don't have a photo of the movement. I put a new battery in it and the movement wasn't anything impressive. I figured it was made for a woman. The strap was too short to fit me. The case was molded out of some kind of base metal and electroplated.

It may be part of the 90s line called the Estate Collection.

Like this one I bought new back then, model 97A11, Swiss quartz driven, also T2 dated:
