Watch Description

This is a 1950 Bulova with a 7AK 21 jewel movement in a 10k gold filled case with a signed crown. It runs but needs servicing. The movement is dirty. I think it has the original Kreisler band on it. The movement is dated 1947 with 3 little punched marks on it on the sides of the "47". I've never seen that before and don't know if it has some significance or not.

1950 Bulova Academy Award "W" is a match and do believe you have the original bracelet.  Not so sure about the movement being original but a nice watch.  Interestingly I do not own a single AA watch.  Go figure...

Well JimDon, if you owned one of every model that Bulova made the fun of collecting them would end and you'd have to take up pickle ball or something.

Very nice example with the original bracelet.  Most likely a replacement movement.

I figure the movement has been replaced at some time also and whoever did it punched those 3 marks on it to indicate it's supposed to be a 1950 movement.

There was no lawsuit, I'm not sure why you continue to perpetrate the myth that there was. Every time you repeat a story that is not true I will post this response:

John - the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences never sued Bulova. In fact Bulova bailed them out of foreclusure on their offices in return for the rights to use the Oscar name in advertising. In the future the Academy asked for and received a stipulation that Bulova stop using their name. There was a firm the DID sue Bulova named Academy Awards Products. The firm had been incorporated exclusively for the purposes of gaining a legal settlement from Bulova and was not affiliated with the AMPAS in any way. THEIR lawsuit was dismissed as fraudulent.
