Which Bulova

I have been left a solid gold Bulova watch which is old but in very good condition and i do not know what it is.

Year model anything would be nice.

I would never use it myself.

It has a gold band and was serviced about 5 years ago.

I was told it was the first Accutron with a mercury battery Although this is not what is in the watch at the moment.

Bulova Squadron B

I recently found my great grandfather's  1940s Bulova squadron with the original box, etc. I have all THAT, but I have no idea how old it is precisely. I've narrowed it down (using what Ive seen from other identical watch examples on this site) to 1945-1947, but I'm not 100% sure. There's oddly no date code anywhere on the movement, and the case serial number search (5095697) revealed nothing on this site. Am I doing something wrong? How do I date it on this site with just the case number and no date code???

Second sweep hand

I recent;y purchased a stunning 1938 minuteman and the second hand is missing. The movement is a 7AP, and I've been searching high and low, and haven't found a 7AP second hand. I remember reading that the parts were often interchangable, so would using a 7AK second sweep hand (the closest one i could find: the model before the 7AP) work on a 7AP movement?

Worth Replating?

My grandfather's 1940 Standish (in the database) has moderate wear-through in the plating on the back side of the case.

This watch is far and away a more sentimental item than anything else - I have no intention of selling it anywhere, at any price.  So my question is whether re-plating the case will prevent any further deterioration or is it best just to let it be?

Thoughts are most welcome!

Sky King dial

Hi to all.

This is my first post in this forum and I'm sure that it'll have a complicate answer. I'm only an amateur watchmaker and after some time I decided to buy some old bulova watches. Recently I purchased two Sky King' cases wit dial. I have seen in the archives two types of dials for this watch but one of this cases, has a possible third dial? Although the marking aren't for this case, the dial has the same form and measures.

Could somebody tell me if is possible this dial for this model or which bulova watch use this one?
