Designated on face as "Slimline" with double diamond at "12" and single diamonds on 3,6,&9. Is squarish / ovoid in shape with Gold Face and has stamped 10k GF back. Designation on back is "N9" which leads me to believe , from the date codes reference table, it's of 1979 vintage. Bracelet is a beautiful integrated gold mesh, with an original Bulova locking clasp, and had original Bulova crown. Regrettably I cannot open the case without damaging so I thought best left alone. It winds, although tight, but keeps excellent time, Could not find any similar design in the database (other than a round one of similar vintage) nor in a Internet search.
I have had this watch in my personal collection for some 20 years
So far I am not coming up with any ads for this line. I think Slimline is a good ID based on this watch https://mybulova.com/watches/1979-slimline-14891
1979 Bulova Slimline
I found an ad from 1979 for it but no name unfortunately. After looking through newspaper ads I am not sure Slimline was a model line but more of a description term, like Set O Matic was. Still ok with having the name as an ID to keep them together though.

It at least tells us the jewel count. Good find.
Kathy, nice ad find. I will agree on the ID of
1979 Slimline.
Gotta love the diamond dial!
I have seen quite a few Bulova Ads for the Bulova Slimline starting in about 1977. With it on the dial I am good with 1979 Bulova Slimline.
As far as a model name goes. I can't put forth an argument to not use Slimline.
