New Old Stock. All stainless. No blemishes. Was given as award to person I bought it from. Never worn. Oyster style bracelet is integrated into the case. Bulova logo on clasp and crown. Mirror finish outside links, brushed inside links, brushed clasp. Day and date side by side at the 3 o'clock position. If the movement serial number is needed, i can open the watch back and see if I can find it. I've only opened case back once. I can't find any info on this watch. I wish I could. I've not, as of yet, seen any similar to it on the web.
Sorry, forgot one detail. On the open case back it is stamped in this order:

Hi Tourspin, that is a real beauty. I went through the Bulova Line Books 1977-1979 that we have access to and don't find your watch. I suspect it didn't have a model name, as many didn't in the late 1970's.. Many were ID'ed with a stock number and style classification. The best I can offer at this point is a generic style classification.
1978 Day Date Automatic
This is a beautiful watch, I love it! I've looked for an advert several times as well and just don't find a match.
1978 Bulova Unknown
Could be part of the Buccaneer series

Unknown for now though as I too cannot find anything in the linebooks or adverts.
Panel - thoughts?
If general consensus is unknown for now, I'll agree.
I'm also at Unknown model
