Here is an interesting one. it is a yellow gold plated N6 date code case with a 2772.10 quartz 6J movement and appears to have a P1 date code. Thoughts on that panel? The dial is a standard railroad approved configuration with the R.R.960.111.Q and marked SWISS 7541. The crown is plain with no marks. I cannot find a case or movement serial number only the following #9847-1. I have no reason to believe this is not a factory watch as it is super clean showing no signs of wear. Based on the case date code I am going to classify this as a 1976 Bulova Accuquartz Railroad Approved. I also note that this is a 6 jewel quartz movement and there is not an option for 6 in the pull down. We might need to add that.
I'm not sure about this one, 1976 is a bit early for a quartz like this. If it were an Accutron conversion, I think the crown would most likely be at the 4 position. Maybe someone replaced the back. I did not find case 9847-1 in the books, to confirm movement type associated with case.

I all at odds here Jim. Noting Ken's comment on the crown I submit that the Accutron Quartz didn't come on scene until 1977 I think. I'm certain that the movement is a replacement due to the spread. I'm really not sure the case was original Accutron at this point?
I'm at a bit of a loss. I did a desperation google search "Bulova Railroad quartz" and came up with this. This one has a screwback case dated P8. Face marked "RR955Q"
I'm wondering if subject watch might be a 1981 movement/dial/hands combination grafted into an older case that possibly originally held a mechanical movement??
