This was another "what the heck is that" purchase. Accutron "hummer" with a 1976 dated movement and case. Movement is a 13 jewel single coil tuning fork 2313A that has a 301 battery installed and it hums and keeps perfect time. I assume that at some point it was re-calibrated to accept modern voltage batteries.
Interesting case is black finished base metal with an applied gold plated cover and Stainless back. I found it in the 1977 linebook 205.
Really nice, but has a synchronization problem with the day/date. Both change at midnight, but it won't quick set. Hey it was really cheap and I'll wear it as is.
1976 Bulova Accutron Date & Day "22857 - 7Y"
This is a first see for me and I believe a first for the database.
1976 Bulova Accutron Date & Day "22857- 7Y"
Unusual design with the black and gold, not seen this before. 22857 is a good match.

Update: It took some fussing to figure out the stem clicks (really close together) but I got the date to quick change. Also finally found a 2 tone gold/black band that is a pretty good match.
