Recently inherited this watch from my wife's grandfather who was presented with it on his retirement from "Hercules Pipefitters" of Louisiana Missouri in 1977.
I am welsh and live in Wales, UK with my wife.
I have looked through this site and the numbers don't seem to match up with a specific model / watch
As you can see in the photos I cannot determine if the serial number is 218 or 2181, any thoughts please? On the case front is N6.

I should add 2181 is the caliber of the movement. Essentially 218 is the type of movement and the last 1 indicates date version of the 218 movement.

I also have one more thats dated 1966, I will load this one as well.
I found its sister. 1977-1979 Line Book. Even the hand written case number on the ad matches the case back. The dial is a different variant but I am comfortable calling it as follows:
