I want to give a super special shout out to Mr. Wayne Hanley!! Out of the kindness of his heart he knew I wanted this watch pretty bad and it was top #1 in my gotta have it list. He was going to pass it on to someone else and gave me first shot. I happily, readily, excitedly accepted and TAH DAH!!
I am the new owner of the coolest watch I have ever seen! This.... is by far....my favorite Bulova/Accutron I own and my ever own.
Ladies and Gentleman... I present to you... Wayne's old.... my NEW...
1975 ACCUTRON 218 WOODY !!!
~ Sporting it's original Duchess wood enlaid gold plated bracelet. The wood around the bezel and on the band is real and rumored to be mahogony.
Congratulations! It's one of my favorites also. Glad you finally got your hands on one.
Now, would someone please find the band to go with mine? Pretty please?

That band is fantastic! I've been wearing it since the mailman came!
Hey Jerin, Now all you need to find is a 1975 Vista crusier with the wood grain on the side panels, and a wood grain dash, and you could cruise down the strip with your arm out the window and look real cool! LOL
I don't believe it's possible to have anything cooler than a wood panel watch.
cept maybe to have ...2...
Dammit shooter... now I need one for EACH WRIST!! WOOOO!!!
Jerin SCORED!
Ok... I take back some of what I said about "70s Design..." re the Computron... That (pre 70s) bracelet "improves" the ensemble, for sure! NICE ACC!!
:-) Scott
Yeah.... but I'm pretty sure Duchess made these bracelets specifically for this watch. So they wouldn't be pre-70's...
Plains,
Bet you had a "Woody" while you were ripping open the box! :-)
All puns aside, is it actual wood on the bezel and band or plastic stuff?

Bad, bad, bad! LOL
It is actual wood, silly.
