Inside case- Ref B771 I would love to have more info about my watch. the Bulova service dept. could only tell me that production of this watch started in 1975. My major question is whether the band is real elephant ivory. If not, what is it? Secondly, what is the value of this watch? I understand that if it is elephant ivory it is illegal to sell it. If it isn't ivory and any one is interested in buying my watch offers are welcome. Thank you in advance. Laurie
Genuine ivory it is.

Wow, within the United States it seems Indian elephant ivory can be sold within the state you live if you can prove that it was legally imported BEFORE July 1, 1975. It's interesting that this watch was made in 1975. For African Ivory the date is much later, January 1, 1990 Don't take my word for it: Read This

Is this watch currently running? The reason I ask is that the case back calls for the battery to be installed "stepped side up" It appears it's in the watch stepped side down.
