This is my wife’s grandfathers watch and I would like to restore it. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Hello MEB, welcome to myBulova. It's exciting to have such a wonderful keepsake from your wife's grandfather. Over the next couple days we'll do some research to see if we can determine the model name of your watch. Regarding restoration, it's tricky. The case itself seems to have a fair amount of corrosion and pitting. It is unlikely that damage can be reversed. It is possible that a qualified watchmaker can service the watch and bring it to operating condition. That person could also give advice as to whether or not the case is in good enough condition to have a strap or band put on securely so that it could be worn or maybe just displayed.
I did a quick look thru our line books and could not find a match. The watch case does seem to have pitting that appears to me to be irreversible. That being said some watch makers do some amazing work. I hope you can get it repaired.
I have not found any match to this watch in our database. 1974 Bulova Unknown

This does appear to match the Sea King "GV" except for the hands. We have already have the same watch ID as the GV here https://mybulova.com/watches/1973-sea-king-gv-11355

Bumping this one back up. I am certain this is a 1975 Sea King "GV" noting the hand variance which could have been a model year change or replacment. Description of the dial is dead on. Gilt markers with black inserts on sunray silver dial.
Based on the fact that we agreed on the other example, it seems only logical we do the same for this watch.
