Looks to be a standard Accutron, most likely with a 218 movement. I looked through the ads to find a variant, but did not find a match. Appears to be in real fine condition.

Thanks for the reply, any idea on how many were made.

It is in good condition. I think it has had a new strap before I got it and a couple of batteries since I have owned it.

I paid £60 for it 8 years ago. Do they hold their value well?

it is hardly worn so don't know what to do with it.

Hello mdpalmer157, welcome to myBulova. We don't have access to Bulova production records so we can't say how many were made. The Accutron line was a huge success for Bulova for many years (first produced in the early 1960's) and covered dozens and dozens of variations and variants. There were two basic movement types, the 214 movement didn't have a setting crown but was set by means of a lever on the case back. The 218 movement had a setting crown at the 4 o'clock position, which makes it instantly recognizable as an Accutron.

Some Bulova watches were given proper names like Senator or President. The Accutron line was mostly given number designations like 206, 209 etc. As we can't find (yet) and advert match to your watch we just call it 'Accutron".

Your's is stainless steel which was very common and popular. We aren't able to perform appraisals but you may get some idea of value by researching online auction results.

Thanks for sharing it.

The Accutron '259' is close but has a few differences, the main one being a red sweep hand. This subject watch looks to have a black one.

Generic Bulova Accutron for me for now.

I do like the bold case style and that dial is super clean.
