Watch Description

Here is a curious one with a dial treatment I have never seen. Dial is smoke gray with a mirror finish with "sparkles" in bright light. I have no idea if this is as sold, or some sort of finish deterioration. It is even and consistent over the entire dial. Very cool, but really hard to photograph. I suspect it's original as seen, but have never seen another so I have no point of reference. Face is marked "Bulova" and ""automatic". Gold markers and gold printed minutes track. Yellow gold plated base metal bezel and stainless back. I have yet to open it.....

Based on ad found in 1974linebook 190, this appears to be a  Bulova 12629-2Y on the original band.

Nice find Bob. The rapid set date is a wonderful feature. A solid click out on the crown (all the way out) advances the date one day. Super handy for those of us that don't wear the same watch everyday.

It's pretty cool to see the detail in the linebook match the desciption you gave, "bright mirror finish dial highlights"

A nice looking model and I think the dial is unique and pretty cool looking.
